Omron will be at Hannover Messe from 23 to 27 April, supporting the event’s theme of Connect and Collaborate by demonstrating its capability to innovate the future of manufacturing. Visitors to the Omron stand (Hall 9, F24) will be able to experience Omron technology supporting flexible robotic cells, data acquisition, data intelligence and AI realizing
Distributed computing is a key factor that will allow you to unlock the AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things) capabilities.
While Cloud is best suited to deal with Big Data and manage massive long-term analytics, Edge is indispensable for the real-time applications, when the setting requires to gather data, analyze it straightforward and act immediately. Therefore, production environments require data analysis at the Edge rather than at the Cloud.
The AI Controller is a unique AI-equipped tool that brings your data processing a step further, not just to the Edge but even down to the End device. It operates deep in the heart of the machine itself to prevent a machine shutdown and to reduce error rates.
One of the outstanding characteristics of the AI Controller is the ability to monitor several signals simultaneously, detect anomalies, and adjust a process real-time. This functionality is powered by machine learning engine (MLE) nested in the AI Controller firmware. You don’t need additional programming.
An anomaly in a production cycle may lead to a machine shutdown. To detect anomaly the analyzing a continuous sequence of data occurring in real-time is required. The AI Controller offers you a solution for this type of situations. It will identify an anomaly within a machine cycle time, prevent a failure and, therefore, reduce costs.
Experience the capability of the AI Controller at Hannover Messe
At the upcoming Hannover Messe we demonstrate how the capability of the AI Controller reacts on an unforeseen situation by simulating a filling process in a beverage production. The PET’s are transported in a circle carried by the conveyor belt. The robot arm is used to simulate the bottle filling process.
In a normal situation the robot arm positioning is highly accurate, and no failures occur. The demo is equipped with various sources of disturbances, such as blockage causing selective friction, to simulate “abnormal” situations. Once “abnormal” mode is active, a failure occurs. With the AI Controller switched ON, anomalies will be detected. The filling process will shortly pause and resume when the process is stabilized.
Our AI controller prevents shutdowns and reduces errors with real-time adjustments. Monitor multiple signals simultaneously and detect anomalies instantly.
