Omron US has donated equipment to support the creation of the Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory to the Northern Illinois University College of Engineering . That of course is nice to know, but they have also created a brilliant video where future engineers speak about engineering. Must watch!
In case you don’t know these guys: LinusTechTips provides news, articles, reviews and techguides about everything, err, technical. Topics vary from SSD’s, videocards, mobile phones, televisions to 3D-printing. These guys are so technical that they don’t have a ‘normal’ website, but they host a pretty large forum. They also create a lot of videos and one of the themes are the factory tours.
In one of the factory tours they visit the Omron factory where they create Romer-G mechanical switches for the Logitech G910 Orion Spark keyboard. Have a look and see how our Japanse colleagues approach manufacturing.
